Bird flu primarily transfers from animals to humans through direct contact with infected birds or their bodily fluids. This can happen through touching infected birds, their droppings, or contaminated bedding. Breathing in virus-laden respiratory droplets or dust, or touching contaminated surfaces and then touching one's eyes, nose, or mouth can also lead to infection.
